I seem to be in a weak signal area, and all the indoor aerials i have tried just don't work very well, if at all.

So i'm looking to get an outdoor one, maybe fix it just outside my back bedroom window or the loft maybe?

Anyone got any info or suggestions/ideas, as it's not something i know anything about.

Cheers in advance.

:)

You can get a decent aerial for less than £30 from a high street electrical specialist and fit it yourself.

If you've got the room to put an aerial in the loft then that would be better than outside your window, even better would be to get it put on your chimney if possible, basically the higher the better.

Or you could phone an aerial company out the paper or something. I got two aerials put up for £70 I think it was and it's all done and dusted in no time.

Indoor aerials have their place but you can't beat a roof mounted aerial for better reception.

I think there's web sites (try this one - http://www.radioandtelly.co.uk/reception.html) that will tell you whether you're in a weal signal area or not, and give you good advice on buying an aerial.
