Hi All
Hopefully a simple one but whats the current recommended free easy to use VPN? Its just for my niece to be able to watch bbc/itv player while abroad for a few weeks.

I think I used Hola once or twice myself in the past but I'm sure I remember hearing negative things about it a while back.

Ive used dotvpn as a chrome extension. Always worked nicely for me, is free but need to sign in with email address.

Cant say i have tried it with iplayer specificially, but works for the sites i use.

Avoid free IMO aside from casual Web browsing

Maybe it's me with my tin hat on but the idea of inputting user ID and password into an ip address that is ultimately shared makes me nervous.

Also I may be wrong but don't the free ones have a bandwidth cap?

I use purevpn, I have a unique ip with them as well. No issues but going to be changing after my annual sub is up because they just ditched their smartdns app ( despite still advertising it!)

Sharing an IP address isnt bad at all its infact really normal. Mobile phones generally dont have their own IP they share addresses. BT is bringing in/has brought in a ip sharing platform so streets can share ip addresses(as we are running out.)
That said in this life you dont get much for free, the free ones will either have limits or possible sell your data to make up the costs.
