Hi,

Currently been using Bluebottle for most of my mail needs which has been excellent but due to massive problems recently it's probably time for a move.

I did see one recommendation on here which was pretty good but can't find it (tried searching everything - lol)

Basically what I'm after is:

* Not GMail
* Not stupid appendice (i.e @Yellow-hippo.com)
* POP Poller (i.e. can download from other accounts)
* POP3 retrieval
* Webmail access
* Good junk / challenge response filtering

Thanks,

M.

Interested in this as well, as have been using Bluebottle for quite some time now and have been experiencing the same problems as you.....:)

Better off just registering your own domain and getting a hosting company.

My host offers webmail, fantastico for installing stuff etc. a linux box, SSH, op/IMAP access etc etc. Loads of mail accounts, all for £4 a month (domain reg is free). You can use forwarding to forward your other mail to it as well. Can also configure spam assassin for your needs to.

I could do my own domain and host my own e-mail. I was just thinking of something I saw in this very forum which pretty much had every box ticked but can't find.

Why the objection to GMail? Register your own domain and use it with Google Apps, you get all the Google features, but with your own address :)

God this is an old post.

In the end I went for www.inbox.com

Mainly because they have challenge/response, calendar, tasks, etc. very little in the way of down time, 5GB space, POP3 access and it's free!
