Another vote for 7zip, great program; Used it to replace Winrar, which i used to use a lot too.

It's a shame that 7Zip doesn't compress to RAR format though, only to zip/7z.

Still, its Ultra compression is far greater than Winrar's "Best" setting, the same file I got in rar format is half the size in 7z format using the same compression parameters (well as close as possible anyway).

But saying that, these days I only use heavy compression if I'm uploading a file for someone or emailing something, all other times it's just for archiving (software).
