Free Windows 10 Upgrade still available

Haha what a charade lmao. Just proves this hoo-ha about windows 10 not being free after some fake date was just a charade to scare people into infecting themselves.

You'd have to be mad to want to pay for spy ware and it's a good thing Microsoft seems to realise this.

We are not restricting the free upgrade offer to specific assistive technologies.
So in other words July 29th does not exist. :D

with this link i presume you already need Win 7 installed and then it does the upgrade. I could do it this way, but i was just wondering if you could do a clean install of Win 10 as ive got a new PC build, and just use the Win 7 code which i have

Unfortunately, microsoft is going to be closing this loophole soon so don't expect it to work for long.

I doubt they will anytime soon as they still haven't hit their target for Windows 10 upgrades. But they keep this all hush-hush until they actually do. Then it will randomly stop.

Not sure if it'll work now, but I can't imagine why not? Worth a try as someone else said.

I can confirm that installing from the latest win 10 ISO using a windows 7 key worked and activated itself. Did this last night for someone.

It would seem that although Microsoft have said the free upgrade offer is over they haven't actually closed it down.

As others have reported you can still install and activate the latest build with a Windows 7 or 8 key without needing to visit the assistive technology page.

I suspect an upgrade to Windows 10 will remain free as long as it suits Microsoft's agenda.

Agenda - ROFL
Keep that foil on ya head!

Hmm, I have another SSD coming. If I do the Windows 10 thing, can I get a key, get a downloaded USB installer on a memory stick and install it and then dual boot? Will that work using Windows 10 from the same Windows 7 key?

I'd rather do a clean install as the last time I tried an 'in windows' upgrade it didn't work and I had to format my current SSD to put 7 back on.

Well you can certainly clean install Windows 10 using your Windows 7 key. You can even setup a dual boot and it will work, but I don't think you are licensed to run in this configuration for the long term. After the rollback period your Windows 7 licence is "consumed" by the upgrade. In reality I don't think anyone has had their installation deactivated yet, but MS could start doing something like this.
