Free Windows Backup software?

Hi guys, was wondering if there was a good free software out there that will allow me to backup my entire OS installation to dvds? I want to access it without going into Windows.

I tried Redo Backup from Sourceforge but I cannot see anything on screen when I try to boot into it from CD.

If you have Windows 7 then the backup & restore centre can create an image of your install and burn it to DVD's. Alternatively have a look at Macrium reflect.

Reflect is a great bit of kit. I also recommend it.

thanks will have to try that.
To be honest didn't want to install software onto the laptop. Guess I could always uninstall it later on.
Trying it out now.

If for some reason you don't get on with Macrium Reflect, then:

DriveImage XML

Clonezilla

used driveimage to copy drives before, never as backup
Will try it as don't want to buy ghost again (Ghost was good for me though)
