Hello all,

Just a heads up. If your university is affiliated to MSDNAA you can pick up a free copy of XP pro 64bit or Vista Buisness 64.

Loads of other software is available for free also.

A student benefit so to speak.

He was referring to your spelling mistake.

Burnsy

You mean he was being anal? I unerstand now.

Of course he has never made a spelling miskate in his life before. And it would also be impossible to graduate if one were to make a simple spelling mistake.

Sorry Caged, i forgot that i was on the Grammer and Spelling forum.

Got nothing better to do?

they offer much more than just copies of windows, over the past few years while I was at uni I've got all sorts of software includin stuff like visual studio etc

I believe your supposed to uninstall it when you finish uni though, seem to remember reading that the licence is only valid while you are studying at uni (but it won't just stop working when you fnish if you dont) when I first downloaded Win XP off there

Is this for everyone or just students that are part of certain courses? I always thought it was a perk of a computing course but could be wrong?

Nope, the licence is perperual, but you're not allowed to use it for commercial purposes.

Yes there are restrictions on courses. Only Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics courses are eligible.
