same here... someone has trademarked my surname - surely if I'm to use as a personal homepage and domain for e-mails then that's fair use - it is after all my name too...

Same here, will make a cool email address.

Ironically I only had a EuroDNS account after having free .be domains from them 9 years ago. Never used the account since but was still on their marketing list.

EuroDNS is very good in my experience. They managed to save one of my domains from some scumbag at TSOhost who tried holding it to ransom for £60. Contacted the authorities and transferred it to EuroDNS and managed to retain it for £8.

DigitalOcean.com are doing bargainous vps hosts for £3 a month with $10 credit if you use "UBUNTUDROPLET". Works out about 2 free months.

Awesome service too, hosting my xyz.

Seriously impressed with the service. Bit of a bummer you can't get a wildcard cert for free, but good enough for a single host. Well pleased.

Domain, cert and hosting for 3 months - chump change.

You sure that's a VPS? Doesn't say anything about it being a VPS.

I would recommend https://www.simplexwebs.com/ if you want VPS with SSD.

Yup, seems to be. I have my own VM. Catting /proc/cpuinfo earlier gave me a E5-2690v2, well 1 core of. 1GB RAM, 20GB SSD.

The Simplex stuff looks nicely spec'd, but more than I'd be willing to part with per month. Sure it's got statics and low latency etc but I'm more than happy with DDNS and the speeds I'm getting out of DO. Will keep them in mind for work as I'm eyeing someone to replace Linode...
