Can anyone tell me where to enable the frontpage extensions in the members area? I have followed the instructions in their FAQ section as follows:

To enable the Microsoft Frontpage server extensions:

* Login to the freedom2surf members area
* Locate your website in the website section.
* Now you can choose the "Enable Frontpage" option to activate your front page extensions.

However I cannot see the "Enable Frontpage" option anywhere.
Am I going mad

Thanks

Hi there
once in the members area scroll down to the section (main header) that says "your website details|"

If you look to the right there are a number of options all on the same line the enable frontpage option should be the second from the left :) (or fifth from the right :D) just click it then click ok// yes to turn them on

Hope it helps

Thomo

All I can see is
View FTP & Site Details / View Webalizer History / Enable Database / Disable Webmaster Acct

Am I being really thick?

I have this

View FTP & Site Details / View Webalizer History / View logfiles / Enable Database / Disable Frontpage / Disable Webmaster Acct

Dont know why yours is not there? I'll disable front page and see it it changes

Brb :D

Thomo

*** Edit***

It changes to Enable Frontpage!! Not a lot of help really!

No longer supported - since feb 2007...

5th February 2007

Important : f2s webserver migration - Frontpage Extensions
Dear f2s Customer,

As you will be aware we are in the process of migrating our customers webspace onto a new platform.

We have identified that you have enabled Frontpage Extensions in your webspace control panel in the f2s Members Area.

On our new platform, and in-line with the withdrawal of support by Microsoft for Frontpage Extensions on non-Windows platforms this feature will no longer be available.

We've prepared the following mini-FAQ which covers this topic:

What does this mean for you?
If you have Frontpage Extensions enabled on your webspace at migration time your site will be moved onto the Windows section of our new hosting platform. This means that webcode that uses features such as PHP (which are available on the Linux section of our new platform) will no longer work.

I don't want my website hosted on Windows, what can I do?
If you disable Frontpage Extensions in the Members Area prior to the migration your website will be migrated onto the Linux section of our new platform. Obviously, Frontpage Extensions will no longer be available to you.

I want to continue to use Frontpage Extensions, what can I do?
Keep Frontpage Extensions enabled in the Members Area prior to the migration of your website, this will ensure that your website is hosted under Windows and that Frontpage Extensions will continue to work. Obviously, this means that Linux specific webcode will need to be modified.

If I want my site hosted on Linux when do I need to disable Frontpage Extensions?
Immediately. Our migration is moving quickly, please ensure that you have disabled Frontpage Extensions by Friday 9th February 2007.

Thanks for your cooperation,

The f2s Team

Gah, so what does that mean to a complete web building noob who wants to host some photos from my wedding on my webspace? Got about 500 pics that people around the world want to see (Canada, Oz, Ireland, UK, Seychelles..) etc. So it would be nice to just put them up on the web somewhere.

Should I now go ask a new question in the web section?

Thanks so far
