I am really confused at to whats happening here.

I have always used FLServer to create a lan game for me to play on (Loads of fun ) but for some reason I just installed it on my computer and its not picking my IP address up properly.

This is my layout on network card.

IP Address = 192.***.*.*
Subnet Mask = 255.255.255.0
IP Address = fe80::248:54ff::fe1b::******
Default Gateway 192.***.*.*

For some reason its not picking up the 192 number instead its saying the IP address is the fe80:248:54ff thing.

Can anyone render any assistance please.

Will post pics of command prompt on standard use HDD when I plug it in.

double click it and 'Microsoft HTML Application Host' should execute it..

which is basicaly this file:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\mshta.exe

it's VB script in HTML.. so only ever run trusted hta's.

ok this is my every day drive that is not dedicated to games.

ok now I am really confused by that link.

Looks like I might need to reformat.

Games Drive is XP Pro with SP2
Standard Use Drive is Windows MCE.

dont suppose you can understand that link and tell me of a simple fix other than trying a reformat do ya ?

Is Teredo a term or program because I have never heard of it before.

I dont know why I cannot see my own IP address in a lan game I have created on my games drive and not in my main drive.

Or is this a problem caused by Windows Media Centre Edition ?

ok I just logged into the guest account on the computer and where it says the second IP address is made of numbers and letters there is just a ? there and I can connect to my lan game I create.

So something must have happened on this computer to make that second IP address appear and make the program use that ???

I just cannot figure out what.

Dont suppose you know how I can get rid of that Pseudo crap do ya?

WOOOOOOOOHHHHOOOOOOOO

Got it sorted

To uninstall IPv6 from a computer using the command prompt
1. Open Command Prompt.
2. At the command prompt, type ipv6 uninstall, and then press ENTER.

Its the MS IPv6 thing, DAMN YOU MS.

That looks a bit like a IPv6 address, you don't by any chance have IP Version 6 installed do you ? This might be causing you some problems.

If you right click on 'my network places', select 'properties' and then check your network interface's properties to see if IP Version 6 is listed on there, if it is then I think you should be able to remove it. Be careful incase you need this installed for some strange reason, I could be entirely wrong and would hate for you to make things worse.

Dont know why your saying sorry, but I would like to say thanks for the help if it wasn for that pseudo teredo thing you linked me to I probably never would have solved it.

Many thanks to you :)

Hope you had a nice new year.
