Anyone else heard about these loonies before?

Apparently its a term that's sprung up in the past few years and essentially someone has convinced the usual types of conspiraloon numpties that they can declare themselves to be one etc.. and that laws no longer apply to them. Basically meaning that a bunch of the numpties who buy into it then get into trouble for non payment of council tax, road tax etc...

Seems to have been inspired by similar groups in the US revolving around tax avoidance. They seem to have an obsession with 'maritime law', 'corporations', capital letters, use of the word 'Mr', some obsession with 'contracts' between them and the govt and bizarely believe that the magna carta allows them to arrest judges.... no seriously they actually believe that and tried to do it in Birkenhead:

I know we've had our share of retards on here - 9/11 conspiraloons, people how think the moon landings were faked etc.. but surely this is taking it to a new level - and not to mention potentially a bit harmful to the gullible idiots who believe it all and then get in a lot of trouble for not paying their council tax etc...

WTF, i watched a few of the vids and got nothing from it at all!

Reading some of the comments i think this sums it up (with the least vulgarity)

'Peace and Abundance Brethren,Respect.' - I didn't see anything peaceful or repectful in that pathetic performance, did you? I saw a bunch of uneducated mentally ill ****wits harssing people, disrupting legal proceedings and wasting police resources. I hope they were all jailed.

Pretty sure the Birkenhead thing was on a completely different subject.

Nope, click the link I posted, it was freeman loonies trying to arrest a judge citing the magna carter....

Had heard of these peeps before but only really started reading about this stuff in more detail when I looked into TV Licensing - obv not buying a TV license is fine if you're not intending to watch programs as they are broadcast but the forums dedicated to non-license payers also seem to attract freeman loonies who don't pay council tax etc... - I looked into it and was like WTF.....

This is a statement from them:

It is clear, beyond all reasonable doubt and with evidence that would stand up in any properly-conducted court of law, that an influential network of rogue British politicians across the parties is unlawfully involved in carrying out the hidden strategies and agendas of a centuries-old, secretive and criminal global elite who are seeking the imposition of unlawful global governance on the unsuspecting peoples of the world. Known broadly by researchers as the New World Order (NWO) — though some refer to them as the Illuminati or Zionists (please note that this does not mean Judaism) — the modus operandi of these powerful traitors and criminals is now clear for all to see.

I may be slightly less than totally convinced that they are right.
