I do NOT have SKY or any Sky Boxes as I cancelled my subscription.

I do have a Sky Dish that was setup for Sky Q, therefore I believe it is compatible to do what I want

I have 2 Freesat boxes (1 in each room)

On each Box, if I am recording, I cannot watch another channel or record 2 channels simultaneously

My LNB Model is EL027 HYBRID

My cable splits in 2 but only 1 cable works to either my TV which has FreeSat built in or my FreeSat Box (in other words the other cable is redundant)

I thought that I could have a LNB which would let me record and watch a different channel in each room from 1 Satellite dish

Is there a LNB that does this?

You need a quad LNB

2* live viewing
2* recording

Basically you need 2 wires going into every box to record and watch tv at the same time.

Just a random pick https://www.screwfix.com/p/visiblewave-4-output-universal-quad-lnb/734gv

Many thanks
You have confirmed what I suspected
Just got to convince the guy who fitted my current LNB that it does not do what I asked for.

Get a VU+ Uno 4k.
You will be able to record at least 8 channels at once and you only need one cable.
With A Fire Stick + Kodi + Enigma2 plugin you will be able to control it from any room in the house.

I've not heard of these before, they look quite a decent system

I've had 3 different models over about 15 years and they are excellent.
The one I have now is known as a Unicable receiver which means it has 8 tuners and you only need one cable, you will also need a Unicable LNB.

Whats the channel change speed and EPG like on this box? I've only used a couple of similar tuners before but found the EPG pretty poor.

You can hear me saying 'click' when I press the button on the video and yes I'm using my PC to control it.
The VU+ is in another room.

Screen grab from PC and that's an exact picture of the remote on the left.
