I've got a satellite dish on the rear on my house (lived here 6 years, only just noticed it) with a cable running into the house.

Is there anything i can place in a pci slot that would allow me to connect the wire and receive Freesat through my pc?

Managed to remove a WinTV-HVR-1100 , would this work?

Is there anyway to view though xbmc?

Going to have a proper look at the satellite and cable tomorrow in the light, and see if they are the right kind etc.

Is it worth having?
Would love HD channels if possible.

Not too big a deal about hd channels, the main reason for me wanting free sat is the fact i'm in a poor signal area and my roof aerial is pants.

So hopefully this will mean i can finally get all the free view channels, as i don't watch enough tv to warrant virgin media/sky etc.

What would i need to connect the bare cable to the card?

It is just a standard screw connection. (Don't know the name of them but normally has them connected).

I was hoping to use xbmc some how - but can't figure out if it can be used.

Will take a look at the others
