Freesync 2

I've just found out that Freesync 2 is in development as is expected to roll out at the end of this year

sounds like they are getting it polished more, i.e. freesync how it should be


now question is do i wait ? been looking at the Asus MG279Q for a while now, but i kinda need to get a bigger screen, maybe ill just get a cheap 27" LCD for now ?

I was planning to wait but my monitor recently died and I can't really use the 22" I've borrowed indefinitely. I went for the MG279Q but if I can't get a good one after a few tries I'll probably just grab a cheap 1080p screen and wait for an HDR FreeSync 2 monitor to appear later this year.

Expect monitors to cost twice the MG279Q and have a limited selection, if at all, this year. Don't hold your breath, get something to enjoy now.
