What recommendations are there for 27/32" 2560x1440p monitor, NOT edge lit as my Samsung 27" LED are burned out and they're noticable.

Or better to go for OLED/other display types I see there's mini LED, micro LED, and I presume QD OLED is just samsungs own OLED designs.

I have ATI GPU but when/if I update my PC, and I happen to get Nvidia do new monitors support both freesync and gsync?

Would depend how much
You want to spend
Up to £500 approximately then I would probably say
Mini led
Over that probably oled
Micro led is sort of in its infancy
And extremely expensive
It may well have the future potential to rival oled
Qd oled is quantum dot coating if I remember correctly
And a lot of the newer oled all use same samsung panels In them

Oled does have the burn in to be aware of
Though more manufacturers have now followed dell
And offer 3 year burn in warranty

Freesync and gsync
Bit more complicated
There's a difference between supporting them
And being certified for them
A load of monitors support/run it
Though they may not be certified by amd/nvidia

All that said
I would probably narrow down your options
By deciding how much you want to spend

And what gpu you have will affect resolution and refresh rate
Though as you said 1440p
Am guessing it's not likely to be a 7900xtx
1440p at 165hz/175hz is a sweet spot for a lot of people
Who have decent gpus but not the absolute best ones
