FreeSync or G-Sync

I'm interested in opinions and impressions, I'm planning on a card and monitor upgrade within a few months and do not know which way to go.

Here's a video comparing ghosting between certain monitors although I'm unsure how much of the difference is sync type related. Hence the thread to learn more before I spend hard earned money.

Here's a quote from Allyn Malventano (PcPer man) regarding the ghosting

"...but FreeSync / adaptive sync *are* introducing it. This is an issue that was corrected years ago in constant refresh rate LCDs, and continued to be corrected with G-Sync. The issue is now re-introduced with current non-G-Sync VRR panels. Whoever's fault it is is not relevant to the fact that ghosting *is* present in the first three FreeSync panels we have looked at so far."

Sorry for not coming back here and replying till now but after starting this thread I noticed that for whatever reason the graphics card section was where it was being discussed rather than here in the monitors sections, Thanks for the replies guy's.

It seems that there is an issue with ghosting although not everyone has an issue with it. So the question becomes what is the cause? Is it something at the monitor end or is it something software can fix? If software will it be similar to having game drivers, IE: you have to download a particular driver for a particular monitor, I don't mean on a regular basis but as a one off. I suppose it's going to take a while for them to get to the bottom of it and let us know. Still I have at least until the 390x is released to wait and see which way to go. I would have probably had my monitor already but fortunately the LG 21:9's got delayed so now I'll wait on the monitor too.

It sounds like this is one of those times when you need to check both sync's with your own eyes as everyone's eyes and are different along with what is acceptable to them.
Have you got a store where you can go and compare them?
That's what I'm gonna have to do.
