What's the way to go if I want freesync ultrawide HDR @ 3440x1440p? Anything current or too look forward to in the imminent future?
Are there still plans to produce a 144hz capable version of the LG 38UC99?sadly not at 3440x1440 - but at a lower Res they are available now

I'd think about the https://www.overclockers.co.uk/lg-3...-super-wide-curved-led-monitor-mo-149-lg.html if it was a higher refresh rate. It seems you can't have everything.
Nvidia are launching a 65" 4k 120Hz at some point. I suspect it'll be unaffordable though.

There is the samsung https://www.overclockers.co.uk/sams...-hdr-widescreen-curved-monitor-mo-234-sa.html which is wider and shorter than you want, but otherwise looks to have everything you want.
Those are not HDR though, right? I’d want a HDR monitor. Willing to drop to a lower resolution.
I've been looking at the Acer XR382CQK. There are 2 models with very similar specs. According to a well known online retail website in the US, the more expensive one has HDR. A lot of people seem to have trouble finding out the differences between them.
LG 34GK950F will launch in Q2 and is a freesync version of the 34GK950G: https://youtu.be/p5dpLBik0yU?t=269 (here you can see the stats for the gsync version https://youtu.be/WCa2lphGhTw?t=97)
The gsync version does not support DisplayHDR600, so the Freesync might not either. But both has a Nano IPS display with 98% DCI-P3 colour gamut, so there is something to gain there.
@spikerules I didn't even pay attention to the brightness. That's not even close to propper HDR. They charge a £250 premium for that as well!
Yeah you have to be careful with HDR and PC monitors. None are what I’d call HDR compliant. It’s a shame really.
Apparently, FALD backlighting is the only thing that will come even close to offering proper HDR on monitors, and that's gonna cost a *bomb* !
