Some very interesting results here! Well worth a watch.

Surely the low 200fps results are moot if they're comparing gsync and freesync.
FreeSync claims it can support 1-244hz just depends on monitor manufactures, and at FPS competitive play higher FPS is wanted because it reduces input delay as seen in the results.
Until they actually provide monitors that live up to the claim it's a moot point anyway.
One of the new free-sync monitors due (one of the ones that looks like it's actually one of the better ones) reduces the minimum start point to 30 fps however apparently to do that it had to reduce the max range to 90 odd, So the 144 hz monitor now has a working free-sync range of 30-95 (90 or 95), Basically by improving the minimum they were forced to lower the maximum. If this 1(9) to 244 fps is more than just theoretical why are we not getting better than we are. There's no guarantee that once they do have a panel providing the full range that we'll get these sorts of latency results either.
Yup, that's new new Asus IPS 1440p one that just launched. I really don't like it capping the usage to 90hz with FreeSync enabled at all. Some people play it down saying it's still a good range, but I think the minimum should be 30-144Hz on a 144Hz panel.
It seems the only FreeSync Panel worth buying ( if you can handle TN panels ) is the BenQ that goes up to 144Hz.
Still both technologies do a decent job. I can't stand playing without G-Sync enabled, but I do hope FreeSync sorts out these teething problems with limited ranged windows on the higher quality panels.
Asus has launched the PG279Q??? I'm itching to get my hands on one!
