Before we start i know Freesync is AMD and not Nvidia. My question is will there be a problem running a Freesync monitor with an gtx gpu?

I am wanting a super wide monitor and this one looks too good to says no to (HERE) but i dont want to get it and have problem with it.

It will work just like any standard monitor when connected to an nvidia card.

fantastic, will pop an order in now.
When i do upgrade GPU's is there any real need to go AMD and use the Freesync options? if you have a GPU have can hold the minimum FPS is there need to go with Freesync

If you do upgrade the card, i would indeed go to an AMD model. Having recently purchased a gsync monitor, if freesync offers the same benefits id be all over it.

Totally agree having moved to G-sync i would never be without it now. Not stutter of tearing and super smoother FPS transitions. If you get that monitor get a AMD card net and run Free sync. Having never seen the AMD one in the flesh im in no place to really comment but if its as good as G-sync you will never go back.

The problem i have with amd right now is if you want to water cool your system you must go fury.... and there getting a bit of stick right now.
