Hi all,

Does FreeSync only work on display port? I got a new monitor today an LG 29UM68 i also have an RX 480, They both support FreeSync however in drivers it says not supported? Would this be because im using HDMI ?

When im googling im seeing conflicting reports that FreeSync works on HDMI but not all, i cant find a list for if my monitor does or not ?

Some do, some do not. Yours does not for example, will only work via DisplayPort.

Scroll down and click monitors and you will see some monitors support it via HDMI also.

Not only does your monitor not support using HDMI for freesync, much more importantly it does not have LFC. Basically you need to make sure you stay in the 40-75fps range of it won't work.
