freevents x52

hi i reinstalled windows xp pro on my friends philips freevents x52. but it seems it didn't detect the sound card. i went on philips site and i cant find the notebook any where...absoulotely terrible site. anyway any one own one and found a way around it?

Some Googling tells me that the Phillips x50 is a rebadged Twinhead 12D. Drivers for that laptop can be found here http://www.twinhead.com.au/downloads.asp?MainCategory=Twinhead 12D

Give the audio driver a try and see how it goes
