Just got a freeview box (Panasonic TU-CT41), set it up, and am recieveing "No Channels"

Now my postcode reckons I'm in a non covered area, but I know people around here who have it.

Anyways just wondered if anyone knew if you are in a poor coverage area will you get 0 channels, or only a few, or what? want some answers if possible b4 i treck into town to take it back ;)

Well I was in the same situation as you a while back. In a non freeview area although I knew people in the street had it. Anyways I bought a freeview box plugged it in and I recieved about 18 channels all of which where full of interference.

I had to buy an aerial upgrade. I got one of the local aerial companies to come out and do it for me at a cost of £140 I think :(

I'm sure there are cheaper options but I have no knowledge of aerials so paid the aerial company. Now happily recieving all channels and clear pictures, couldn't be more happy with it.

...With a crappy unsuitable aerial in the loft I managed 6 channels. Mainly BBC. New aerial, on the roof and all the channels are there now.

Post code also puts me in a 'none' available area :)
