Whack the aerial cable directly into the TV, what's the analogue reception like?
Mr.Orb said:Very poor signal, same as we had before we got freeview. Its been very hot so it probably dry out anyway.
Signal is back again.... bet it will go in a minute
BTW this is happening with my built in digi tv and the freeview box downstairs.
Tesla said:It will dry out but when it rains it will come back and cause the cable to corrode from inside out. Also the water will run down the cable into your nice shiny telly!
How old is your aerial and cabling?
Have you checked for transmitter works on the BBC website?
The wate will run down the inside of the cable so the insulation wouldn't be much good. Sounds like you have an internal aerial anyway, in the attic or something? So obviously no water up there.Mr.Orb said:No idea how old it is, just moved in 7 months ago… I also have a (NEW) Signal Booster and the cable goes through insulation in the loft so don’t worry about water dribbling down the cable.
