Freeview on a monitor

Unless your monitor has the right connections I doubt it... Does your freeview box come with an s-video out and your monitor have an s-video in? Or other compatable sockets? If not, I doubt it. If it's a question of can a TFT cope with a PAL signal, I would certainly think so.

On the other hand, if you have a media centre which has a freeview (DVB-T) card in it, I certainly would have thought so. In fact, when I upgrade my 32' CRT television I shall probably be buying a 30 inch widescreen monitor (as a minimum size). - Don't need the speakers of a TV and my graphics card does DVI.

Sweet!

TFTs can certainly cope with the signal from a freeview box - but it needs the right connections.

I have mine hooked up to my Dell 24" - It doesnt look that great to be honest, cos the signal is not good enough. It looks good on a lower res monitor tho.

You can pick up VGA boxes or whatever they are called - they take a video input and output a VGA signal, allowing you to connect it to the monitor.

You could do one of two things.

Firstly - but something like a Compro DVB-T tuner for your PC and watch Freeview through the PC on your PC Monitor link contains competitor links i'm afraid.

Or you could buy something like the Hyundai L17T/L19T which although has the built in Analogue Tuner, it also has Svideo and RF inputs giving you the option of linking an external Freeview box into it.
