Going to buy FV box.

From what i can see FV box only has a scart out. I want to use my LCD to watch TV. I have seen a scart to VGA cable adpater. Can i put a video splitter in there also so i can alternate between PC and TV?

So scart to VGA cable -->(VGA)Splitter-->(VGA)LCD.

I would have throught that your freeview box if working over scart would be outputting at to low a scanrate to be viewable over VGA.

Oh, well i have no idea i just assumed you could watch it on your PC screen. Is that definite then?

How are you going to get sound as VGA only carries video signals.

Good point, as i said i have no idea about these kind of things.

It's likely it doesn't work with most LCD displays, becuase as far as i remember these only work with CRT monitors due to them happening to be so similar to old CRT tvs that they can still handle the low scanrate.

I'd have thought so unless you get a convertor box. Your scart signal will be about 15KHz and monitors generally only scan from 30KHz up.
