Hey, I'm not sure if this is possible, but I don't have an aerial wired into my bedroom - and I was wondering if it was possible to use a plug in aerial (one that sits on your desk) with a Freeview tuner inside the TV I'm buying. Or would the signal strength be too poor?

Thanks.

Think you answered your own question nearly.

It all depends on how close to the transmitter you are, and what the signal quality is like.
My friend who lives about 2miles from a transmitter can use a desktop ariel no problems at all. Im about 10miles away and i havent got a hope. I can barely get a decent normal picture, never mind freeview.

Yeah, if your very close to the transmitter you can.
My mate lives about a mile from the transmitter, and has a clear view of it.
His tv's etc can pickup a picture without any aerial at all plugged in.

I have a set top aerial somedays the reception is great other days it makes me hit children that I don't own in frustration at the constant loss of signal. The stuttering the breaks the loss of channels the constant crying of children i have hit, it all gets too much some days.

other days though, happy days.

i bought a 2' outdoor aerial from a local electronic retailer and just put it on my shelf, blu-taked in place lol i pick up pretty much every channel with that

might be wrong but should work ok on 64 bit - the app runs on the server so it's matched to whatever the server is running.

It's not a download despite being an .exe file .
