We're fed up with Sky and are looking to move to something without a subscription, its not worth the price for our little usage. What are good freeview style boxes worth having? Decent UI with recording / pausing is desirable.

Thanks all, just placed the order for you view via BT, have infinity with them so just a small activation charge and then no monthly cost As I've gone for the most basic package. Will be cancelling sky, also selected the option for them to fit a new antenna. We're in a new build which has coax throughout but never connected so will be much tidier cabling wise than the sky install we (Coax tacked to skirting board).
Very tempted to get amazon fire TV, as I have prime account.
Think the Mrs also pays for Netflix so will cancel that and have it put onto the bt account.
£155 to bt, £79 to amazon and after 4 months it will have paid for itself by cancelling our sky subscription.

Hell of a shout - what I've ordered allows for "pause and rewind" but not record.
The £5 a month deal allows to record TV. I'll give them a buz and get them to change the package to allow recording.
