Freeware Photo Editing software

Alternatively Paint.NET is free and is very much a simple version of Photoshop.

Looks and feels the same, has most features, but obviously not all.

Definitely look at Picasa, it's only simple edits, but the interface is really good.

Depends what features you need but both xnview and irfanview have some editing capability.

Although I would also vote for Paint.NET for photo editing (if you can't get your head round the GIMP of course) once you've got those photos looking great and you want to publish them on the web, Picasa can do that in a couple of mouseclicks, which is it's greatest feature IMHO...

Many thanks. Isn't that for the "Tryout" version - or is that the same thing ?

I was more wondering for work (a college). We buy CS2 licenses at the moment, but we cannot buy that many as it is so expensive. Being able to install a free copy of Photoshop 6.0 on a few machines would be very useful.

I honestly can't remeber the link i used i just googled and found it.
It is TOTALLY legit though as i have had emails from them thanking me for using it and the odvious would you like to upgrade for cheap. They are offering it to me for 10bucks

but i like free and it does all i need.
