Freezer 64 fitting - Help!

Just building my new rig and have fitted the Freezer 64 Pro to the CPU. As it's a very tight fitting, quite a bit of thr thermal paste has been squeezed out of the space betweeen the CPU and heatsink. Is this OK or should I wipe off the excess. If wipe, what should I use?

Thanks, It's a thermal pad so I just used what was already there. I'll wipe it off.
