Freezer 7 on a DS4

Fits on a DQ6 so i dont see why not.

Fits fine - excellent combination as it fires right across the PWM circuit.

It's the same as the standard cooler - easier with the mobo out of the case.

Well fitted the cooler ok but whe i switched ot back on i had a nightmare time as it keot going on off on off :eek:

I thought the mobo had gone belly up

No, that's the PWM fan controller working properly!

No i meant the PC going on off on off, the fan stayed off all the time.

Ah! No, the PWM wouldn't be responsble for that! What was it in the end?

No idea mate. Cleared the CMOS, took the battery out dozens of times. Mustve spent an hour doing it. I was almost out the door to go to ocuk for a new mobo but I tried it again before i left and it sprang to life. :confused:

I have absolutly no idea what the problem was tho :confused:

i just ordered the ds4 and artic freezer 7 , i got it with some artic silver 5 thermal compound how do i go about applying it?

Put a pea sized blob on it and use an old credit card etc spread it thinly over cpu.

do i need to wipe any old compound of the cooler as i heard some come with standard compound already applied?
