Hi all
Very confusing problem. I've been trying to do some cleaning/scanning in safe-mode as I do regularly, but I have ran into a problem. The PC will randomly freeze up and I have to restart.
At first I thought it was Nod32 causing the problem, but I left that to do other things and it appears it's just the system in general. Sometimes it won't get past the logon prompt, whereas other times it will go for a good 15 minutes before randomly locking up.
Now the confusing thing is, in Windows normally I've had zero problems. I can run multiple apps, or AV scans and have not one problem. I am infact scanning with Nod32 now and all is well.
Again, gaming and so forth are all fine. No crashing or BSOD's.
I would have thought if I had a system problem (perhaps due to an overclock) it would freeze more so when in Windows; not safe-mode. Also safe-mode loads only the required drivers, so I can't see how it's freezing???
Any ideas would be appreciated but it's a weird one. Just seems to be safe-mode?!
