Freezone CPU cooler

That really is a horrendous cooler...

Poor use of tecs, poor water setup to start with tbh

26dba is NOT loud at all... my Yate Loon 120mm fans are 28dba at 12v, and practically silent...

26dba is only loud when its some thermaltake crud, that is stated at 26dba, but is actually 40dba

actually it depends on the person as to whether its loud or not, 18db to some people is loud, yet ambient noise in a house is around 18db afaik.
and whats this about tecs ^^
its a crappy watercooling system really.

O Rly?

Well the antec 120mm fans I used were tested at silent PC review I think to be about 22db when at 7volt and I still found that a little too loud.

Please don't tell me what I can and cannot hear

were they going from the manu specs or was it a self tested level ?
how far away did they measure in comparison etc ?

it comes down to a lot of factors in reality, so isnt a level playing field, tbh it is a useless rating, unless unified...

in which case you can disregard my previous statement :p :o sorry ;)

This is a fairly expensive setup for what you get. You could have a Koolance PC3-725 for pretty much the same money ($400/£280) and that's guaranteed to work well and it comes with a Lian-Li case.

If you want a TEC cooler, search on a famous auction site for a Thermaltake one. You should be able to get one for £20 or so. They work pretty well with a decent cooler.
