The French Open starts tomorrow and Djokovic and Swiatek are currently the bookies favourites for the titles as well as the top seeds. It's hard to argue against Swiatek winning considering her form this season but my money's on Alcaraz to win the men's title this year. He's the form player, he's dominated the clay court season and neither Djokovic nor Nadal are looking in great shape heading in to the tournament. The former has been struggling for form and the latter a foot injury.

No Murray or Federer this year, Murray's skipping the French to concentrate on the grass court season and Federer's still recovering from an injury and isn't expected to play again until later this year.

ITV lost the rights to the French Open last year so it's only available on Eurosport now :(

Few of the commentators said they weren't expecting much from her today, not sure if that was due to her poor build up or the form of her opponent who I knew nothing about. Girl just needs a run of matches and some stability, she'll be absolutely fine if she finds that.

In better news, Norrie won in 3 and Evans is playing at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon.

My pick, Alcaraz, is currently 3-3 in the 4th and down 2-1 in sets

Nadal comes through 6-3 in the final set.

FAA is going to be one hell of a player in a few years but I find him absolutely unbearable to watch, his grunt is the worst on tour so glad he's been knocked out.

Can't see Nadal beating Djokovic in the next round, he's been struggling with his injury for months and hasn't played much tennis. Expect a 3-0 or 3-1 Djokovic win this time.

18 minute game and we're all square at 3-3. Momentum's shifted.

Edit: Almost 2 hours and they're only a set and a half in. Broadcasters need shooting, could easily end up finishing 2-3am.

1 set all and I'm giving up, McEnroe's an abysmal commentator and his constant Novak dick riding is way over the top. Can't stomach the man.

Oh FFS, thought they were both evening matches tonight :(

At least he's through but another 3 hours on court, got to hope for a battle in the next semi final.

Edit: Has Cockovich questioned the validity of the injury yet?

Ruud, got very annoying 2 hours ago :o

First set was very competitive, as was the first 4 games of the second, but it's been one way traffic ever since. Nadal hasn't really needed to hit top gear either.
