My family used to quite like going to Mon Plaisir but fell out with them over a returned dish.

I've been having a google and quite like the look of Brasserie Zedel (and the price is right!). I fancy going there this evening.

Any thoughts or other recommendations? I'm guessing with 300,000 French nationals living in London there might be one or two others.

Zedel is good, they keep some walk in tables so you may get lucky. The dining room is beautiful, the service is slick and as you alluded to the pricing is excellent. The food I think is a little hit and miss, I have had excellent fish there but their choucroute is a poor example when compared to the Delaunay (from the same group).

http://terroirswinebar.com/ Terroirs is always worth a look at.
http://www.lesdeuxsalons.co.uk/, http://racine-restaurant.com/ and http://www.boulestin.com/ are all rated well but more expensive.

I didn't end up there in the end, unfortunately.

I've walked past Terroirs many times without even looking beyond people drinking in the window! Much easier to get to so might have to pop in.

Thanks
