Frequent disconnection from router

For a long time now I have had a problem where my PC will randomly lose connection to my router - a RT-N56U. Hours can pass with no issue or it can occur over and over every few minutes but with no discernible pattern. To fix the issue I have to enter Network Connections and disable my ethernet port for a few seconds (10 is usually enough) and then turn it back on. I will then immediately regain connection. This is driving me insane.

OS: Windows 8.1
Router: RT-N56U
Connection: Powerline (https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-032-TP)
Motherboard: Asrock z68 Extreme 4

The issue can occur when sitting on voice chat, surfing the internet, streaming video on Youtube (not exhaustive)

The issue will NEVER occur when playing a game online. I have not once lost connection in this way while connected to a game server.

I have updated router firmware and the Ethernet adapter several times. possible I didn't update the ethernet adapter correctly / fully but I think so.

When the connection is lost I lose internet access and cannot ping the router. As seen below I cannot access the router's setup page. I have the output from ipconfig when the internet is working and when it isn't but I am unsure if I should be posting it on a public forum.

Any help finding the cause would be really appreciated.
