Frequent issues connecting to Xbox Live MW2

Does anyone else experience this? Maybe just MW2, but quite often it does not sign into Xbox Live but then by going out and testing my network connection (wired) it connects no issue.

Relaunch the game and it's all okay?

No other devices on my network have any issues at all, that leads me to believe it's either MS to blame/the game just being too busy to connect at times?

At uni i have to test connection every time i power on before it lets me on live. (pc works fine) At home theres something messed up with the router in our house so out of me and my brother whoever gets the xbox on first gets open NAT type, the second get strict but 50% of the time testing connection fixes it. (again pc is fine)
