Fresh install of win 7 problem

Done a fresh install of win 7 got some updates but now its just hanging on the update not finding any thing,been waiting for about 20 mins now and ive never had to wait this long before.

give it longer. if your W7 install is SP1 you are looking at about 230 updates and then more once they are installed.

Is there a way to disable pagefile from Win 7 install?

cant do it during install but can be done once in windows. You shouldn't disable the page file anyway

I had the same thing recently, I left it for a few hours and was all done when I came back.

Got it sorted had to hunt for a bit you need this Microsoft file and it sorts it out god knows why as ive never had to do this before.

I have had a few problems recently with clean installs. Mainly post install the Windows Update service getting hung up. I found net stopping and starting the service and cleaning the temp folder it use freed it up. Then it was a matter of an over night wait for it to download all the updates.
