Fresh install of Windows 7 with an Upgrade?

Hi guys,

Have purchased Windows 7 Pro Upgrade. I have a legitimate Windows XP License to upgrade from.

Must I reinstall XP first and then upgrade, or can I do a clean install?

I bet if I torrented it I could have just installed it no bothers.
