post your config file, see what crap you have loaded that may not be needed each boot, something take for ever to load and slows windows boot
there's plenty of programs out there which will tell you this for you, but for me i just use ccleaner and see whats in my start up, and disable it, then see if it boots faster, all you really need is your AV at start, most of the rest isn't needed all the time
It'd be cool if you could delay startup items by, say, 20 seconds to a minute. Then you'd be straight into windows and active, and all the stuff that does need to be run (let's say afterburner, automated backups etc), but that isn't essential to boot right away, was run over the following minute. Why can't we do that?
Funny I just had this issue, after a few days of re-installing trying different drivers ond so on.
Turned out to be my optical dvd drive, seems like win7 stopped to check if it had a disk in ? or atleast thats what it seemed like as the drive is working with no problems.
Unplugged it and bang win7 loads without any delay.
