fresh win7 install, failed updates

hi

quick question as i have recently re-installed win7, and noticed that large numbers of the windows updates are failing, I dont know whether this has happened in the past and that i have only just noticed the failures as large amounts of updates are happening at the same time.

So... with it being such a new install I reckon I will try another re-inst on my other slightly older ssd anyway, I was just curious to see whether this was a regular occurrence, or whether it is an indicator of other issues. If so what should I run to test the install. I'll be running memtest & prime95, what is recommended to test sdd?

Mine has done the same. Can't install sp1 update, it just fails every time. Have tried 30 times now and done all the things MS say to do. It just does not work.
Oh and this has happened on numerous occasions while doing clean installs

There was a glitch with activation, if i recall correctly after activation i was left with one internet explorer security update that refused to install. The rest went in eventually. Tried another fresh install on a different drive, no activation issue and all updates except the same ie update were successful.
