Being in my third year I really didn't bother with fresher's fayre that much this year, but popped in quickly today. When I got home I checked what I managed to get for free and found I had:
1 packet of matches
4 keyrings
20 assorted condoms
3 8ml tester packs of lube
1 large pack of nobby's nuts (tangy bbq flavour)
1 fisherman's friend cherry menthol lozenge (pack contains two lozenges)
1 bottle opener
1 travel toothbrush
1 mini pack of toothpaste
2 pens
2 lighters
3 NEW giant size strawberry refresher bars
1 strawberry mento
1 lemon mento
1 alcohol unit calculator
2 spikeys (go in the top of bottle to stop them being spiked)
3 voucher books for wetherspoons (with some very good money off vouchers)
1 weatherspoons stand up menu thing

That was all from 1 quick trek around freshers fayre. So, what did you get from fresher's fayre this year?

You will wish you didn't collect all that rubbish by the end of the year. This year i'm going to the fayre but as a society board member:D Awesome way to check out if the freshers are hot this year.
 
I really don't see the point of taking that stuff at all?

Yes, it's free. Wow, absolutely fantastic.

I'd rather be doing something else with my time than taking free pens from Freshers Fayre.

no good, that's why they do a different version for pint glasses.

@danger - no i can't because i don't know which society i got them from

@ Carzy - most of it's really not tat. I'm sure I'll either use or eat most of it within a couple of months.

Freshers week for us isnt until the 2nd of October.. [i know.. its gonna be xmas before we start]..

Also, i'll be working the breakdancing society, either on the lino or signups.. ;) wuhay..

I'll see what swag i can bag and get back to ya.

Freshers fayre stuff sucks. Drugs reps are far better sources of cool free stuff I'm sure I don't need to tell you ;)

my haul from today:

256mb usb pendrive
4 port usb hub
5 sticky pads
4 pens in the shape of body parts (2 bones, 1 arm, and 1 finger)
2 tourniquets
1 viagra-branded toy monkey (hopefully to be delivered in the post) :D

Good stuff. Drugs reps are awesome - apart from fulfilling every stationary need I have also got free desktop lamps, cuddly toys, diaries, torches, swiss army knives, alarm clocks...I could go on :D

If all goes well, we'll be representing our newly started society at the Fayre this year. Just wanted to ask, did you get some freebies made up to hand out?
