Friday the 13th

Have to respect them for not going to a publisher so they don't compromise with gore, violence and nudity or give in to the feminists. However splitting Jason as a playable character, unique weapons and putting them in a price tier along with other things is a despicable practise and smells of micro transaction and ruins the game because everyone wants to play as Jason.

They failed for me right there even though it will reach it's goal because people do not stand up for right and wrong anymore. :mad:

Its an interesting idea 1 vs 7 Online only.. I just not sure how its going to play out? When you one of the 7 have you just gotta run and hide or something? Its not like you can kill Jason.

Be keeping an eye out for this though.
 
brilliant idea, but it should not be you (Jason) killing innocent campers, it should be you Vs the Army or State Troopers, something to make it more acceptable............basically, the Army are sent to Camp Crystal lake to kill you once and for all.

but it does look very atmospheric....great graphics
 
Yea ....errrr, not much to say without gameplay, don't see why they can' put up some initial screenshots/sketches/anything if they expect people to back it.

everyone can play as Jason, you do not have to pay to play as Jason and weapons and skins are unlocked by playing.

no Idea where you have gotten the idea that you have to pay for them.

only the unique kickstarter weapon and skins are gotten by funding the kickstarter.

Some people actively seek things to get mad about, unfortunately.
 
would be interested in it if and thats a big if they do it well.

so many kickstarters are just failed projects waiting to cash in.you cant be angry at people after the last few stings on big projects have dulled their hopes a little.

its a good idea hopefully they do it well.:cool:
 
I think this looks good, it was already a game they were working on when they managed to get hold of the Friday the 13th IP, makes me wonder why they couldn't show gameplay when they would clearly have some to show anyway... ive backed it, first time backing a game non-tabletop.
 
Its already annoyed me because they have the storyline of the first film, but Jason was never in the first film. It was his mother, so why is Jason here?

what are you talking about; Its using the staple from all Friday the 13ths after the first; Jason hunting down camp counselors. Honestly they've worked their butt off; 7 on 1.......either you work together for epic take down of Jason or you die.....

Now Jason being killable or at least stopable; they are using Kane for Jason who did 7-10 Jason - more stocky; slow unstoppable killing machine. I've always been more of the slightly thinner; faster Jason from first 2-4 and the reboot which combines the first 3 movies kinda.

I love the idea - work together with people or die one or 2 at a time. We need to remember the rules that Friday the 13th set up for horror to survive ;)

Ouch, I feel like i hit an nerve there.

All I meant was that from the trailer and from my (limited) knowledge of the films it seems like they were focusing on the 1st year after Jason's death, which would be the first film. As you know, in that film the killer is Jason's mother and as the narration was obviously his mother I just got the vibe that it was based on the first film only.

Can't comment on anything to do with it other then that. Could turn out to be a great game, could turn out to be crap. Lets wait a see shall we?

hehe sorry just a big horror fan; technically it was first movie is set 22 years after Jason was supposed to drown ;)

As Jason drown/disappeared 1957; 1958 two camp councilors were killed and Crystal Lake got the nickname Camp Blood; next year they tried to open; the camp was set fire to.....so wasn't until 1979 that Steve Christie tried to reopen the camp and that's when Pam; Jason's mother kills all but one; Alice who beheads Pam....and is dragged into the water by what looks like a young Jason :D *massive Horror fan here* :D Friday the 13th; broke so many rules and set so many up; like Pam was the first woman murderer ;) set up the rules for nudity; sex; and drugs. Do those and you're sure to die ;)

Heh no problem dude. I am a horror fan but don't know them as well as you obviously. Thanks for the history though.

BTW, my point still stands...it could be crap :P
