American fridge freezer and the small white plastic tab which protrudes and holds the bottom milk shelf in place has broke. Bottom shelf now wobbles slightly, but potential to get worse and rip entire shelf off.

Considering trying gorilla glue, but anyone got any recommendations?

Have you tried looking for spares? I was surprised to find my fridge has a whole catalogue of spares that's are pretty cheap.

For plastic I tend to use Araldite 2-part epoxy. Has never let me down. Ignore gorilla glue - consensus seems to be it is average glue with good marketing.

Have had exact same thing happen to my fridge a couple of times due to the kids being careless - after trying several different glues, only thing that seems to work consistently is:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/UniBond-Repair-Power-Epoxy-Plastic/dp/B003UGKTHK

Just need to give it plenty of time to go off (as seems to go off slower in cold temperatures), so ensure the broken bit is clamped in place and try and leave the fridge door open for a while

In the motor trade we can get some ridiculously strong epoxies for bonding cars together with :D, but I repaired a similar part in my own fridge several years ago using the Unibond plastic epoxy linked to above, and it's held up perfectly well.

As said, give it time to set fully, or if you are in a hurry wait until it has started to solidify then add a bit of gentle warmth (not blasted with a heat gun!) to speed up the reaction.

I'd look at buying the replacement part .

On my under counter fridge, that would likely be either a whole door or a door sized inner panel (if it is available separately), which would likely be a)expensive, b)difficult to fit, c)hugely wasteful.

Have used
B3294B Plastic Weld High Strength 28ml by Bondloc
on abs kitchen appliances, providing it is not going to be at high temp.
may want to try and re-enforce in the vicinity, since if it is typical of laptop screen hinges they are stiff and there is a lot of torque....
but purchasing a for parts same model laptop off of ebay maybe a better time investment.

Cheers guys, some good links! The replacement part is a full steel brushed door, as its the white plastic lug which sticks out from the inside of the door itself, as opposed to the clear plastic shelf which rests on this lug.

All three of those suggested above get great reviews, just need to pick one :D
