Fridge Freezer vs Separate

If you have room for either combination which would be preferable to most people here? Are there any cost savings in having an upright fridge freezer vs two separate appliances?
 
Seems like a lot of chest freezers require the ambient temperature to be above 10c, does this not make siting them in a garage difficult?
