Fridge making loud buzzing noise

Hi all,

My Fridge, which is in a cupboard (one of those fridges where the door is connected to the cupboard door) - makes a loud buzzing noise. If I push my weight against the door in certain spots the noise stops.

What would be the best way to fix this? Thanks!

Difficult to know how loud a loud buzz really is, but if it feels to you like it's vibrating and generally louds than it should be when the compressor switches on, then the compressor is probably faulty. If that sounds right to you, i'd get an engineer to look at it. If the comp is faultly, it's not something a layman like myself can replace and whenever i've seen compressors make noises they obviously shouldn't, it never took long for complete failure to set in.

My parents had this. The back of the fridge had iced up and I think it was a fan was hitting against the ice which made a horrible noise. They ended up defrosting the whole thing which seemed to fix it.

I had this recently, I unscrewed the plastic thing on the back, unplugged the fan and left for a bit. Stopped, and has done for months, it's probably the fan in the back. I was about to buy a new one, but it hasn't started again since I re-assembled. What make is it, Beko?

Our fridge does this every now and then, sounds like jars vibrating inside or similar but nothing seems to stop it. Temps are fine and it's done it for a few years now.

Definitely sounds like a vibrating noise. I watched some YouTube videos and it does not sound like a fan hitting ice.

Hmmm; thanks - I'll get someone to have a look.

Pull it out and take a look at the fan at the bottom rear.

Ours periodically makes a bit of a noise but a quick spray of WD40 while it’s switched off and the noise goes away for about a year.

I could replace the part but it’s so easy to remedy I’ve not bothered so far.

All our built in fridges and freezer lift the back up slightly by leaning the unit forwards, most often a buzz that stops when pressure is applied to a point is due to installation.
