Friend connecting to my pc

Is there anyway of letting my mate connect to my pc and download a few files he needs? Some kind of FTP program maybe? Would just send over msn but as some of the files are quite large and his connection at uni is a bit dodgy and keeps dropping

Best why to do it is to setup and FTP on your PC, google for Free FTP software, such as GuildFTP.

Or if you have some webspace. Just upload it via FTP and then he can download it from your webspace.

Usually much quicker.
