Friend having problems connecting to my starbound server

Hi, i created a starbound server which i can connect to but anytime my friend tries to connect, it just crashes and he has to restart his pc. If he creates a server my game doesnt respond for a few second then says i cannot connect to his ip. If i can connect to my created server, does this mean he should be able to ?. Im not sure if the problem is my server or if its on his side. does anyone have any idea what the problem may be ?

Ports forwarded?
Both running the latest version of Starbound?
Made sure neither of you are running mods?

Considered just connecting to the linktart.co.uk server instead? You can play in a party so it'll work well enough :)
 
Thanks. ill give that a go. My mate can even just try to connect to it. If he connects okay then ill know its just my server !
 
The problem is almost certainly on your friend's side.

Can he play single player okay? Maybe also try getting him to connect to some other random server online - no doubt the issue will be the same but at least it will rule out there being a problem with your server.

If he has general issues running the game he could try out OpenGL mode. Also, I'm not sure if it's an issue with the latest patch but if he's on XP he may still be suffering from the issues associated with that OS.
