Friend Needs Upgrade £200 Help

Hi all

Just like to say i love the help and advice on these forums, thank-you

My friend has a ok spec pc but it does need a upgrade, and he really wants it for gaming its a tight budget as he does'nt want to spend more than £200-£250 but i'm sure u guys can think of somthing:

Pentium 4 2.2ghz 400FSB
1x512mb 2100 DDR
Rubbish Micro MSI motherboard
200gb 7200rpm HDD
Geforce 4 Ti4400 128mb AGP
Soundblaster 5.1
Rubbish Broken Micro Tiny Case

Thats not worth spending any money on, mainly because of the case and motherboard.

You can't get a lot for that sort of money as quite a lot needs changing but this upgrade should make it a lot better in games. The asus barebones has intergrated ATI 9600 graphics which should be fine for games on a low quality. I have also added 1GB ram.

If you are at the tighter end of the budget this could be suitable, it also has onboard graphics but it is a PCI-E motherboard so offers more potential for upgrading in the future. The Semprons are supposed to clock quite well if your mate is feeling like a bit of a challenge.
