Friend needs upgrade !

My friend has a pentium 4 3.4ghz cpu, 1 gb ram, 6800gt <- pci-e.
He plays counterstrike:source at 640x480, so i figure the gfx card is decent enough for 100fps with a bit of tweaking.

He has £150 to upgrade the rest, what would you recommend, is core2duo too much of a push on that budget?!

it is more than your mates budget but tbh I'd have a hard time recomending anything less than this set up, save up a little bit longer and this is the base of a good system, throw in a decent aftermarket cooler and he could clock the E5200 well
