Friend pin app?

I have just watched Sorority Row. This is without a doubt the worst film I've seen in 2010, and even though it is only March, I'm confident it will still be at the top of the list come December.

There was however a neat app shown off in the film - Friend Pin. I wasn't sure if it was part of another app or a standalone, or indeed if it exists at all. It shows the relative location of people in your network - looked to be based on Google maps.

I've searched both the internet and app store, but without any joy. BlipPlus seems to do something similar.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Not seen or plan to watch the film but from what you say... There's an option to pin locations of where photos are taken in iphotos can this be related?
